make a rope a day....100 ropes / 50 plants
NEW - exhibited NOW for 2012 they will be at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in Sleat on the Isle of Skye from Sat 4th Feb to Mon 16th April
These ropes are an exploration of plants, of place, and of my personal responses to these through the making of them.
100 ropes/ 50 plants was exhibited in Inverness museum and art gallery in July/ August 2011 and at the SNH headquarters Great Glen house Inverness Sept/Oct 2011.

Rope No.81
Plant - Bog cotton Location - Wet, boggy ground - moorland Notes - These are so distinctive at this time of year, good to discover the
different sorts of bog-cotton. This was made with just the stalks and the last
two strands I kept the flowers.
